The Twisted Stitch was built from a shared love of knitting, sewing, and a desire to build a welcoming, inclusive community.

We believe that all crafts and skill levels should be celebrated. Whether you like making small amigurumi or complicated fair-isle sweaters, we see you. Too often, new crafters face gatekeeping and judgement, and we seek to provide a safe place for learning and community.

In knitting, twisting your stitches is often a mistake but, in some patterns, can add to the project’s beauty. Our name - The Twisted Stitch- represents the need to ensure that everyone feels safe in the crafting community.
