Virtuoso Series Concert: Forest Greenough, Bass, and Sphere Ensemble
Music for Motion

Sphere Ensemble presents the world premiere of Music for Motion, a commission written by American composer and Pulitzer Prize finalist Carter Pann, with a program of works featuring an exploration of movement. The concert features faculty artist Dr. Forest Greenough on double bass.

Sphere Ensemble is a 14-piece band made up of string players: violin, viola, cello, and bass. The group prioritizes music by composers often overlooked in classical programing and much of the repertoire is arranged by ensemble members. From classical to classic rock, from baroque to hip hop, Sphere’s selections are exciting and might be more than you expected.

CONCERT PROGRAM GUIDES/PLAYBILLS are available in a digital format only and may be viewed by scanning the QR code at the venue entrance or can be viewed in advance through a link on the ticketing site.
