Join CSU faculty artist Dr. Cayla Bellamy for a worldwide, whirlwind tour of music for bassoon with piano in lush sonata settings, distorted and amplified through effects pedals, and tunes stolen from virtuosic violins and gentle nocturnes. The tour begins in our backyard with a world premiere by CSU student composer Jalen Jamal Thompson and continues through France, Italy, Korea, Germany, and Argentina before coming back home to the United States. Dr. Bellamy is joined by Dr. Jooyeon Chang on piano, presenting works by Louise Farrenc, Maurice Allard and Niccolò Paganini, Hyekyung Lee, Gustav Schreck, Noelia Escalzo, and Molly Joyce.
