Colorado guitar virtuoso Gabriel Balogh was awarded first prize at the 2014 Denver Classical Guitar Competition and has received top prizes in international competitions at the University of Denver, University of Louisville, Columbus State University, and University of Florida. An enthusiastic transcriber for the guitar, Gabriel has contributed to the repertoirewith transcriptions of works by Joseph Haydn, W.A. Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Isaac Albeniz, Enrique Granados, Domenico Scarlatti, C.P.E. Bach, and Johann Sebastian Bach. This recital features works by Leo Brouwer, Haydn, Mozart, Giacomo Susani, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Robert Schumann, and features an appearance by flutist, Katy Wherry.
