The Becker-Bogard Duo performs works for cello and piano by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Mélanie Hélène Bonis, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and George Walker. In 2023, the duo released American Landscapes on the Centaur label, which includes the Sonata by George Walker being played on the concert. The recording is available for streaming on Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and ArkivMusic.
Cellist Karen Becker’s performances have taken her around the world to the Czech Republic, England, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Switzerland, and throughout the U.S. National and international festival appearances include sthe International Cello Institute, the Ameropa Music Festival in Prague, SoundWavesMusic Festival, Red Lodge Music Festival, and more.
Pianist Theresa Bogard is dedicated to expanding the canon of traditional piano repertoire by including works by women composers and other lesser-known composers in her programs. On a Fulbright grant, Bogard explored historical performance practice and fortepiano at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague in the Netherlands. That same year she was a top-prize winner in the International Mozart Fortepiano Competition in Bruges, Belgium.
