Colorado State University's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance returns to the stage with an abundantly artistic series of choreographic works brought to life by senior dancer majors. Charva Jamison, Oliver Myers, Jordan Santry, Emma Schott, and Jacqueline Urquidez re-envision the complexities of growth, memory, reflection, and society through deeply thoughtful movement.
Charva Jamison’s work is an intense exploration of self-reflection and learning to let go of the things that no longer serve the soul. Oliver Myers utilizes the body as an archive to hold queer experiences in the context of censorship, credibility and nostalgia. Jordan Santry’s passionate and interpersonal piece delves into the continuum of time and the passing of self through different stages of life. Emma Schott’s artistic work investigates the reclamation of self and the constancy of others who hold us up through life’s changes. A riveting piece by Jacqueline Urquidez tests the idea of the American Dream and seeks to illustrate the puppet-like pull between inequality and fantasy.
Join us for an evening of daring and dazzling movement that will stir the soul. Celebrate the power of dance as we take you on a throughline of artistic thought and storytelling.
