The Birds and the Bees
Sunday, April 26, 7:30 p.m., Griffin Concert Hall

The concert theme grew out of suggestions from orchestra members, many who represent disciplines beyond music, including the sciences. Together, we explore how music can illuminate the vital roles of birds and pollinating insects in sustaining ecosystems. Through works inspired by flight, song, and the rhythms of nature, the program invites audiences to reflect on the beauty and fragility of these creatures, and the urgent call to protect them. Join us for an evening where art and science meet, celebrating the birds, bees, and insects that make our garden grow. Conducted by Dr. Rachel Waddell, director of orchestras, and Sam Cooper, orchestra graduate teaching assistant.

CONCERT PROGRAM GUIDES/PLAYBILLS are available in a digital format only and may be viewed by scanning the QR code at the venue entrance or can be viewed in advance through a link on the ticketing site.
