The Fort Collins Municipal Railway operated streetcars in Fort Collins from 1919 until 1951. From 1984 to today, a section of one of the former routes is in operation as a heritage streetcar service.

Two, fully-restored Birney Safety Streetcars ride the rails from City Park to Old Town along historic Mountain Avenue. The Fort Collins Trolley is operated and maintained by an all-volunteer organization.
