DOWNTOWN FORT COLLINS, CO., April 16, 2024 —From May 3 to May 12, 2024, Downtown Fort Collins will come alive with creativity, culture, and excitement as it hosts the much-anticipated third annual Downtown Fort Collins Art Week. This vibrant celebration brings ten days of immersive experiences, captivating performances, and unforgettable inspiration in the heART of historic Old Town.

This dynamic promotion invites art enthusiasts and curious explorers to dive into limitless creativity. On May 3, the festivities kick off with the Downtown Fort Collins First Friday Art Walk™, offering an alluring preview of downtown's art scene with special pop-up performances to activate the 30 participating Art Walk businesses. Art Week sets an atmosphere that cultivates heightened energy throughout downtown, welcoming the community to participate. Here’s how to join in!

Free Artist-Led Workshops

Join us for interactive, artist-led workshops throughout the week to help unleash your inner creativity—all free of charge! Petrichor Collective is hosting workshops at the Petrichor Collective Studios, the Visit Fort Collins Downtown Visitor Information Center, and Poudre Libraries, and the Museum of Art | Fort Collins is hosting workshops at their MoA for All space. Although the workshops are free, registration is required, and space is limited. Be sure to register early to secure your spot. Limited-Edition Collectable Art Week Postcards

Experience the charm of Downtown Fort Collins through a pair of custom postcards created by masterful local artist Mallory Cash. These Art Week Postcards are not only souvenirs but also reminders of the inspiring moments captured during Art Week. Art Week is a collaboration between the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Downtown Fort Collins Creative District, Petrichor Collective, Visit Fort Collins, Museum of Art | Fort Collins, City of Fort Collins Art in Public Places, Fort Collins Mural Project, and Poudre Libraries. This collaborative group set out to highlight the lively arts and culture scene to showcase downtown’s creativity.

About the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority

The Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was established in 1981 to revitalize the central business district. The DDA combines public and private investments through tax increment financing to achieve this objective and emphasizes community initiatives that benefit downtown. In 2020, the DDA introduced the Business Marketing and Communications Program, which employs traditional and innovative methods to promote economic, cultural, and social growth through a variety of initiatives.
