Historic Linden Hotel at Walnut St. & Linden St.

This historic building has been part of the landscape in Downtown Fort Collins since 1882 when Abner Loomis and Charles Andrews built this structure and named it the Loomis and Andrews Building. In the beginning, the building housed the Poudre Valley Bank, until it became the Linden Hotel in 1910.1 It now houses Nature's Own on the main floor. This, among other buildings, served as inspiration for Main Street Disneyland.

The Fountain in Old Town Square

The iconic fountain was initially installed in 1984 as part of the original construction of Old Town Square. The bronze Canada Geese sit atop Colorado Rose Red Granite from a local quarry just outside of Estes Park. The geese were created by sculptor Sandy Scott. During the renovation of Old Town Square in 2015, the fountain received a bit of a facelift with a cleaning and a re-patina treatment of the bronze geese, and the addition of the stone wall and seating around the fountain.

The project took six weeks to complete and the art showcases many of Fort Collins favorite things such as the Cache la Poudre River, Lee Martinez Farm and our Historic Downtown.
