The Guerrilla Fanfare Brass Band (or simply Guerrilla Fanfare or GuFa) brings raw, rowdy, unadulterated New Orleans style funk to the Northern Colorado area. Their mission is always to get everyone up and grooving to our relentlessly fiery and funky sound. GuFa is composed of some of the finest and rowdiest horn players and percussionists in Northern Colorado, and performs hard-hitting funk, New Orleans Second Line style, fiery originals, and raucous arrangements of modern pop hits.

Justin Roth is a nationally touring singer/songwriter and fingerstyle acoustic guitarist who combines an artful blend of hooks laid on a bed of brilliantly inventive guitar technique, bridging contemporary and indie/alt folk. He has toured with John Gorka and opened for some of the finest singer/songwriters, including Shawn Colvin, Martin Sexton, Darrell Scott, and David Wilcox. His guitar playing has earned him shared stages with some of the greatest fingerstyle players of today, such as Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee, and Pat Donohue. Roth’s fan-funded fourth solo album, Now You Know, which he recorded, produced, played and sang every single note himself in his home studio, was voted as one of the Top 100 Folk Albums of 2011 by Roots Music Report.

Internationally renowned Italian artist Peeta combines elements of graffiti and abstract art to create eye-popping three-dimensional murals across the globe. Peeta’s latest project is located in the heart of Downtown Fort Collins in the Old Firehouse Alley next to Prost Brewing. Peeta’s latest project includes motion-sensored projection mapping overlays that cause the mural to move and transform. What is the Hidden Spaces Series?
Join the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association as it brings Old Town’s alleyways to life with the Hidden Spaces Series! Alleyway activation events are a hot topic in downtowns around the world, and Downtown Fort Collins is proud to showcase this trendsetting series of family-friendly celebrations that feature art, music, refreshments and games amongst the bright artwork, architectural enhancements, garden patios and vibrant landscaping of Old Town’s improved alleys!
Is there a cost to play?
The event is free and open to the public with no admission charge or cost to participate.
What streets will be closed? Where can I park?
Old Town will be open for business, as no streets will be closed by this event! Parking is available under normal operations with all surface lots, parking garages and on-street parking spots open on a first-come first-served basis.
Both the parking structures at Mountain/Remington and Mason/Laporte are free for the first hour and only $1.00 per hour thereafter. The Old Firehouse Alley structure accessed via Chestnut Street from Jefferson Street is $1.50 per hour.
In other words, there are plenty of places to park within a 3-5 minute walk from Old Town Square! For more information on parking options, click HERE.
Where are Restrooms Located?
Public restrooms are located near Oak St. and College Ave., and in Old Town Square.
Is this event ADA accessible?
Yes, the Hidden Spaces Series complies with ADA accessibility guidelines. ADA restrooms are located in Old Town Square. If you are in need of a Sign Language Interpreter, you must contact the Downtown Business Association at least 72 hours prior to the event. To request an interpreter, please call the DBA office at (970) 484-6500.
Who produces these events?
The Hidden Spaces Series is produced by, and serves as a fundraiser for, the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association. Since 1982, the non-profit DBA has promoted and programmed the downtown Fort Collins district and remains active as a producer of signature events, community festivals and business promotions. In addition to the Hidden Spaces Series, the DBA produces 75+ days of free family friendly entertainment, including Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, Old Town Car Show, Old Town Irish Party and Shamrock Festival, Colorado Brewers’ Festival, Fortoberfest, First Friday Art Walk and many more.
