Hope Shines Brighter celebrates World Refugee Day with film, stories, and music you won’t want to miss! Join CWS Fort Collins’ celebration of hope and resilience. This event supports CWS Fort Collins’ work with refugees and immigrants in Colorado, and will include:
- Catered appetizers and soft drinks
- Screening of the short film Alsarah: The Sonic Historian, following Sudanese musician and ethnomusicologist Alsarah as she leads a band of immigrants exploring migration’s impact on culture through music
- Stories of hope and resilience shared by members of the Colorado Refugee Speakers Bureau
- A concert presented by Colorado singer/songwriter Angel Corsi
