This Fourth of July marks a historic milestone—America's 250th birthday—and we're celebrating the best way we know how: with a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a classic summertime tradition.
Grab a partner and join us for the inaugural Great FoCo Water Balloon Toss, a free Fourth of July competition where teams of two will battle it out to see who can stay dry the longest and toss the farthest.
Whether you're competing with your child, your best friend, your spouse, or your most coordinated coworker, this classic summertime challenge is all about teamwork, strategy, and surviving one more catch than everyone else.
Divisions:
• Kids Division
For kids under 15 competing with another child.
Competition Begins: 4:00 PM
• Kid + Parent Division
A family-friendly division for one child and one parent or guardian.
Competition Begins: 4:30 PM
• 15+ Division
Open to teens and adults ages 15 and up.
Competition Begins: 5:00 PM
Champions earn bragging rights, prizes, and a place in FoCo water balloon glory.

Heading to the Fireworks?
Skip the traffic and parking headaches.
Free shuttles to City Park fireworks are available from:
🚌 Downtown Transit Center (DTC)
🚌 CSU Moby Parking Lot
Shuttles begin at 5:30 PM and run throughout the evening. Return service begins immediately following the fireworks display.
