Come be captivated by lost tales of holidays past and local Colorado Legends by LuneAseas brand of story telling interweaving original music, shadow puppetry, illusionary movement, and costumery. You'll be transported into captivating scenes of the Golden Age of 5 Points, Denver. Coined "the Harlem as the West", listen as the Tenia Nelson Band, accompanied by the Boulder Philharmonic, tickles your ear to the timeless 1960 jazz arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, while learning about legendary cornerstones of Colorado's African American history. Be spellbound as award winning musicians and dancers bring to life these historic characters, places, and scenes from Larea Edward's 5 Points Nutcracker.
