What might beauty look like when materials are chosen with care and made to last?

Textured Stories is a duo exhibition featuring fiber artist Hannah Cross and jewelry designer Alex Reynolds. Through natural fibers, precious metals, and gemstones, the artists explore how the materials we choose shape the objects we live with, wear, and value.

Bringing together Cross’s textured fiber work and Reynolds’s story-driven jewelry design, the exhibition considers how beauty can be created with greater attention to process, sustainability, and longevity. Together, their work invites viewers to uncoil and reweave their relationship with materials: where they come from, how they are transformed, and what it means to create art with durability, intention, and hope in mind.

Artist bio: Hannah Cross

Hannah Cross is a fiber artist based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Originally from the Midwest, she came to macrame six years ago and hasn’t put the cord down since. Her work is in macrame and mixed-media fiber, where she is rooted in the belief that making something with your hands is both a creative act and a practical skill.

Also a local Fort Collins poet and banjo player, she finds that every creative practice feeds the others. She is grateful to share this space with a fellow creative and to be featured at Cornerstone.

Those who’ve built a life they’re proud of but still hold dear their nerdy passions, deserve fine jewelry that celebrates that. I believe you shouldn’t have to outgrow what you love to reflect who you’ve become. Through thoughtful design, I transform personal stories and fandoms into timeless, elegant pieces, so you can wear who you are, anywhere, with confidence and joy.
