Next up, MR. BURNS, (yes, THAT Mr. Burns) by Anne Washburn and directed by Steve Keim.

The grid has failed, society has crumbled, and to hold back the darkness, a ragtag group of strangers gather around a campfire to recreate their vanished world through the life-affirming act of storytelling. Whether you've never seen The Simpsons or you know every episode by heart, you will be electrified by this love letter to live theatre and hymn to survival and resilience. Mr. Burns is an exhilarating exploration of how the pop culture of one era might evolve into the mythology of another.

There will be singing and dancing and fire and poison and jazz hands and Sideshow Bob and crocodiles and piranhas and passion and pageantry and Gilbert and Sullivan and darkness and devastation. But when all hope is lost - there will be Bart.

MR. BURNS plays weekends September 19 - October 12. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, and Sunday at 2:30pm. Friday September 19 is pay-what-you-will preview. Bar Bleu will be open before the performance and during intermission selling beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
