Join me for a special Cempasuchil Paper Flower Making Workshop and immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Dia de Muertos. Cempasuchil, or marigold flowers, hold a special place in this celebration, known for their vibrant orange and yellow colors and their deep cultural significance. These flowers, often called the "flower of the dead," are believed to guide the spirits of loved ones back to the world of the living during Dia de Muertos, making them an essential part of altars (ofrendas) that honor those who have passed on.
During this workshop, I will guide you through the process of crafting your own beautiful paper versions of these iconic flowers. Whether you're new to paper crafting or have experience, I’ll show you each step, and together we’ll explore the cultural importance of the marigold while creating a stunning marigold garland.
Join me in celebrating and honoring tradition, and leave with a meaningful and colorful decoration for your Dia de Muertos altar or home.
