La banda es dueña de un inconfundible sonido que fusiona elementos de la música disco, acid jazz, funk y ritmos latinos, con los que conquistaron el corazón del público no sólo en su natal Venezuela, sino en diferentes rincones del mundo.
Temas como "Mentiras”, “La Que Me Gusta", "Espérame" son coreados por miles de gargantas en diferentes rincones del mundo. Su despegue internacional ocurrió en 1996, cuando fueron descubiertos por David Byrne quien los reclutó para grabar bajo su sello discográfico Luaka Bop. Tiempo después, salió al mercado el disco “New Sound of the Venezuelan Gozadera” (1998).
A lo largo de 31 años de carrera, Los Amigos Invisibles han lanzado 10 discos de estudio y 2 en vivo. Ganadores de Grammy Latino, múltiples nominaciones en las que se incluyen el Grammy Americano, más de 60 países visitados, son sólo algunos de los datos más importantes de una banda cuya carrera no tiene freno, ni fronteras.
