Join Liz Ortiz of Mad Hare Press, for a Thursday evening of printmaking & community!

At this workshop you will get an introduction to Intaglio Printmaking using Recycled Tetra Pak Cartons. Liz Ortiz will give instruction on Accessible printmaking tools & materials, image transfer from sketch to plate, drypoint techniques and safety, and how to print your plate using a traditional etching press as well as how to print using a pasta press with intaglio oil-based ink on archival paper.

• Each participant will receive a 4x6 recycled Tetra Pak plate (plate size slightly varies) and 5x7 archival cotton paper for a print.

• All tools necessary will be provided for use during the workshop.

• There is no drawing or printmaking experience necessary.

• Please bring images/drawings for design inspiration. (Blocks measure slightly smaller than 4x6)
