Come and witness the magic of winter at Old Town Square in Downtown Fort Collins. Struckman Sculpture Ice will create stunning ice sculptures live, and you want to experience this incredible transformation. Sculpting will occur on Friday, February 2, and Saturday, February 3, beginning at around 4 pm each day. Best of all, this is a free community event to experience the fusion of beauty, art, and nature!
A local Colorado artist, Thomas Barlow, brings an intuitive vision of the natural world through inspired, expressive carvings in precious woods and locally harvested materials.
An accomplished, naturally gifted, diverse media artist, his artistic expression includes wood sculpture, ice carving, sand, snow, marble sculpting, and culinary arts. Each sculpture, each creation reveals figuration and movement, which allows him to capture a unique narrative flow and expression.
A Chicago native, Thomas moved to the Roaring Fork Valley (Aspen) in 1987 and has participated in and placed in numerous events, competitions, and exhibits. He has also worked with notable chef Charles Dale, where he applied his artistic abilities to five-start culinary creations for five-star dining.
