9th annual Driven To Abstraction Art Exhibition. When Words Fail...9 Visual Artists Show the Power of Abstract Imagery In moments of profound change, uncertainty, grief, wonder, or transformation, language often reaches its limits. Some experiences resist explanation. They are felt more deeply than they can be described.
Throughout history, artists have stepped into this space, creating visual languages capable of expressing what words cannot. Abstract and semi-abstract imagery occupies a unique place in contemporary art. Rather than illustrating a specific narrative, it invites viewers into an emotional experience—one shaped by memory, intuition, and personal meaning. The result is often a deeper and more universal connection than literal representation can achieve.
In this 9th annual exhibition Jim Benest, Karen Bailey, Bob Coonts, Kate Dardine, Jeanne Grove, Victoria Kempf, Carol Schinkel, Jennifer Spencer, and Bernadette Youngquist demonstrate the enduring power of abstract imagery to communicate the complexities and beauty of human experience.
