Step into a world where art shaped a revolution — experience the bold, iconic visuals of Maoist China like never before!

Echoes of the Red Era: The Aesthetics of Chinese Propaganda, is an exhibition examining how visual art shaped political identity in Maoist China and beyond. The exhibit showcases posters, prints, and memorabilia from the Cultural Revolution, drawn from a major donation by Todd Cornell, a Mandarin specialist and author. Running through September 20, the show includes rare artifacts like Inner Mongolian garments, Mao-era scrolls, and original propaganda art, providing a rich, immersive look at the intersection of art, ideology, and influence.

The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.
