When Words Fail... 9 Visual Artists Show the Power of Abstract Imagery
In an age saturated with conversation, some of life's deepest experiences remain beyond words. When Words Fail demonstrates the expressive power and value of abstract art through the work of Jim Benest, Karen Bailey, Bob Coonts, Kate Dardine, Jeanne Grove, Victoria Kempf, Carol Schinkel, Jennifer Spencer, and Bernadette Youngquist. Using color, gesture, texture, and form, these artists explore numerous topics and answer the question "Why Art?".
Rather than offering fixed narratives, their work invites contemplation and personal interpretation, and shows how abstract imagery can communicate universal human experiences that words alone cannot express.
