Details

This class creatively brings together plants, hikes, and mindfulness. Through hiking we will bring awareness to the medicinal plants growing in the chosen natural area. Following the hike we will learn and practice mindfulness through walking meditation and end with a community sit. We invite a cultivation of gratitude and Earth-kindness through reflection on right relationship with plants.

This class will take place in four separate sessions throughout the seasonal calendar year. The goal is to encounter the same area through the changing seasons. By doing this we feel into the natural shift of the plant’s energy as they flow from season to season. Through witnessing, we consider or even personally connect with the inherent impermanence of nature. We invite the community to consider what a deep and intimate connection with the Earth looks like in our personal and collective daily lives.
When you sign up you agree to all four sessions (one in the fall, winter, spring, and summer). If you are unable to attend a session for any reason, we are not offering makeup hikes or refunds. However, we can offer you the material to guide your own hike and mindful walk.
This group is friendly to all ages and hiking abilities. Both teachers are herbalists, parents, and mindful humans.
This group will have children in it and ALL are welcome. The price is per adult and children are free. This can be a wonderful way to invite ourselves into a fresh and playful mind.
