Join Botanical Artist Rachel Snow to learn how to bundle dye clothing with plants, also called Botanical Printing.

Botanical printing is a method of natural dyeing where the imprint of the leaf or flower is printed onto the fabric permanently.

This class will cover how to mordant (a prefixative treatment done to the fabric so botanical dyes remain permanent), bundle dye demonstration & instruction, how to pick dye plants, and more.

Each person will leave with your very own botanically printed natural-fiber t-shirt.

Rachel Snow

Rachel Snow is a textile artist, clinical herbalist, and midwife located in Louisville, Colorado. As a printmaker, she found herself continuously incorporating plants into her relief work, and wished there was a way to turn her prints into fabric she could wear. (Turns out there is!) This ultimately led her to discover the art of botanical dyeing, which was the perfect outlet for her completely plant and flower-obsessed mind. When she is not harvesting flowers and trashing her kitchen with her dye projects, you can find her catching babies, in her garden, or spending time with her husband and two kiddos.

Cost: $65

Class space is limited.
