Details
Join Kris Keith and Mark Oberschmidt for an engaging presentation on the history, culture, camaraderie, and transformative experience of the Camino de Santiago: a modern pilgrimage with ancient roots. With multiple routes to choose from, each Camino can be shaped by your time, season, hiking experience, or desire to walk through living history.
Kris and Mark will explore the origins of the Camino, including the 12th-century Codex Calixtinus, considered the first guidebook, and share how every pilgrimage becomes uniquely personal. Come ready to laugh, wince at tales of blisters, and savor stories of unforgettable meals shared among new friends from around the world.
The Camino spans several countries and traditionally ends in Santiago de Compostela, believed to be the burial site of St. James, with the option to continue on to the famed “End of the World.” Discover what lies beyond.
Experienced pilgrims, Kris (9+ Caminos) and Mark (2 Caminos), bring firsthand insight and passion. Both are active members of the Northern Colorado American Pilgrims on the Camino and future volunteer hospitaleros, supporting fellow travelers along the way. Buen Camino.
Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
Tues, May 26, 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Doors Open at 5:30 PM.
Admission $10
