Bryan Bean
Marketing & Communications Coordinator

About Bryan
Bryan’s career is rooted in a lifelong passion for storytelling, communication, and community engagement (with a healthy dose of creative flair). A CSU journalism alum, he has spent years moving through the interconnected worlds of local media, municipal government, and small business. Being able to view community work through all of these lenses helps him naturally find and amplify the stories that need to be told. Whether he’s behind a camera capturing the perfect shot, editing dynamic video, or tapping into his inner pop-culture geek to highlight downtown's best new spots, Bryan effortlessly blends technical skill with a storyteller's heart. As Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the DDA, he is dedicated to showcasing the vibrant, unique character that makes Downtown Fort Collins thrive.
What does the journey look like that led you to serving in your current role?
“My path has always been about connecting people to the places they love through media and storytelling. It started behind the microphone in radio, evolved over years of public service while shaping community identity at the City of Greeley, and has always been fueled by my love for photography, video production, and a deep-rooted passion for creative tech. Moving into this role with the DDA feels like the perfect culmination of that journey. It allows me to take everything I’ve learned about media, visual capture, and civic advocacy, and put it to work for the historic downtown district I’ve loved for decades.”
One of my favorite local businesses or hidden gems downtown is…
“Curiosities. If I had to pick just one. Whether I'm hunting for retro pop-culture finds, unique gifts, or just looking for something to make me laugh, it’s one of those spots where I can always pop in and discover something entirely whimsical and unexpected. They embrace nostalgia, the wonderfully weird, and always have something with a touch of off-color humor. It's the epitome of a place for discovery, imagination, and pure fun. Many of the same traits I love about Downtown as a whole.”
