Downtown Business Association Mission: to increase the vitality and prosperity of Downtown, the heart of Fort Collins

The Downtown Business Association serves as an advocate for Downtown Fort Collins and represents over 225 active business members: arts organizations, restaurants, retail stores, entertainment, professional, service and non-profit.

$350,000 in Downtown gift cards are annually sold by the DBA and are spent exclusively in Downtown Fort Collins businesses.

We maintain a 30-year track record as a successful, self-funded organization generating marketing income which we reinvest into Downtown – over $1.5 million within the last decade.

The DBA annually produces over 100 days of free programming and events attracting over 100,000 people to Downtown Fort Collins, providing a traditional hometown feeling and civic pride for the Fort Collins community.

We produce large scale festivals and signature events that exemplify Fort Collins’ culture including the Colorado Brewers’ Festival and Bohemian Nights at New West Fest.

Planning Events in Downtown:

If you're planning to have an event in Downtown Fort Collins, congratulations on choosing a great location! Please note that we have no authority, nor influence, regarding approval of special events permitting.

The DBA conducts several major events and dozens of small events every year. However, if you're wanting to plan your own event, please don't contact us. We do not give out event permits or regulate the use of downtown space.

If you are planning to host an event, you'll need to talk to the Special Events Division within the City of Fort Collins. If you need a permit (or aren't sure if you need one), check out the permitting page on the city's website. If you're serving beer, wine, or other liquor at your event, make sure you get a liquor license as well.

These links are only offered as a public service and you are entirely responsible for the planning, permitting, and execution of your own events. Please direct any event planning questions to the City of Fort Collins.
