Please join us in viewing Peter Brown Leighton’s Solo Exhibition; Man Lives Through Plutonium Blast. This series is a striking black and white story exploring the paradox of “if life is the best of inventions,” why is humanity constantly pushing itself to the brink of extinction? Leighton creates imaginary scenes created from bits and pieces of analog photographs. According to Leighton’s artist statement, the images create a narrative of “monochrome men fallen from grace, ambivalent women standing on the cusp of reinvention and feral, free range children born to run, all living with the threat of an end to the world as they know it circling high overhead.” As always, the Center for Fine Art Photography offers free admission, so come enjoy this entertaining and though provoking exhibition. Peter Brown Leighton’s Exhibition will be in the North Gallery August 4th through September 23rd.
