Opened in 2008, the Fort Collins Bike Library is a place where residents and visitors may borrow a bike for free.
Riders are enjoying Fort Collins’ extensive network of multi-use trails, touring the breweries, participating in local bike events, attending conferences at the University, commuting from area hotels, and discovering little gems otherwise unknown to those exploring by motorized vehicles. To date we have provided bikes for more than 15,000 patrons from 49 states, 22 countries, and 128 cities worldwide. By empowering staff, volunteers, and customers to embrace the health and environmental benefits of cycling we reduce vehicle miles driven and promote a positive cycling culture of Fort Collins.
December 2012 marks the end of guaranteed Federal grant funding, and the beginning of a new financial model focused on community collaboration. Support from individuals and businesses will allow us to continue providing this unique service for free in 2013.
We have launched our annual sponsorship drive. Please support the FC Bike Library on www.communityfunded.com now through DECEMBER 20, 2012! For sponsorship inquiries, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
