The Downtown Business Association and member businesses have worked together to bring this dining tradition to our community. Dining enthusiasts will be encouraged to celebrate the authenticity, quality and diversity found only in Downtown Fort Collins, at Great Plates of Downtown 2008.

During Great Plates, over 20 downtown restaurants will offer evening dining specials at an “established” price of only $18.68. Each restaurant will be offering their own individual dinner special for the price of $18.68 (tax & tip not included) It could be dinner for four or it could be a gourmet treat for one. Attendees will be able to enjoy downtown during this new culinary celebration as the community honors the year Fort Collins was established, 1868. The Downtown Business Association announces a new partnership with the Food Bank for Larimer County. Great Plates of Downtown 2008 will provide the public with opportunities to support the Food Bank for Larimer Country including food drives in Old Town Square on March 7th and 14th. Great Plates attendees will be encouraged to “leave their change” after enjoying the great dinner specials downtown. The Food Bank for Larimer County can provide a meal for a member of our community for as little as 25 cents. A $10 donation will provide 40 meals for our community!

Why donate to the Food Bank for Larimer County? The Food Bank for Larimer
County is the only food bank serving Larimer County. In 2007 they distributed 5.6 million pounds of food to hungry people in our community. This is the equivalent of over 4.1 million meals, and is valued at $9.5 million. No one in our community needs to go hungry! For every dollar donated during Great Plates the Food Bank for Larimer County till provide enough food for 4 meals to feed a family in need!
