4th of July 2008 Downtown
The whole family is welcome
to come celebrate
America's birthday Downtown this year!
Activities will take place Downtown Fort Collins during the day and at City Park for the fireworks. July 4th will kick off in Old Town Square and Civic Center Park.
Presented by the Downtown Business Association.
The Civic Center Entertainment:
The activities and entertainment begin at 11:00am in the Civic Center Park (Just behind the Justice Center - LaPorte and Mason) and include music, gynmnastics, food, snocones, and hotdogs. Lots of food, activity, a petting zoo and craft booths will be in the park along with bounce castles, and hands on games.

12:30-1:00pm Pie-Eating Contest (Only 12 competitors - ages 10 & under)
1:00-1:30pm Hula Hoop Contest (All Ages welcome)

The Old Town Square Entertainment: Live music, a beer garden and good ole American fun are in the square from 11-6:00pm FREE and open to the public, so bring your blankets, your lawn chairs, your sunscreen and enjoy the sunshine on July 4th Downtown.

Transfort will provide free shuttles from the Downtown Transit Center to the fireworks beginning at 5:30pm and will be shuttled back downtown until 10:30pm. The 4th of July daytime activities are brought to you by the Downtown Business Association and our 2007 sponsors Coors Light, Dellenbach Motors, Clear Channel Communications, Dex Media and NextNC. Thank you to them for helping us celebrate Independence Day. The City Park evening events and the fireworks are provided by the City of Fort Collins.

The City of Fort Collins presents: EVENING ENTERTAINMENT: City Park, 1599 City Park Drive, beginning at 6:30pm and lasts until the fireworks are done at 10:30pm
FIREWORKS: Begin at dusk and are shot over City Park Lake. The City of Fort Collins will cap off July 4th by providing music, food, and a spectacular fireworks show at City Park at 9:35 p.m. FREE and open to the public. Listen the Fort Collins Symphony as they usher in the fireworks!
