A Note from Lucky Joe's~ This summer we will be celebrating our 15th anniversary at Lucky Joe's Sidewalk Saloon in Old Town Fort Collins. We will be celebrating by showing appreciation for our customers with an acoustic music festival in Old Town Square and at Lucky Joe's. The music will be provided by many of the alumni musicians from our history.

After stepping out from behind the bar at the Red Lion in Vail, Dan “Lucky” Kerig and Joe Vader purchased The Old Town Ale House on July 31 of 1995 and opened just three days later as Lucky Joe's Sidewalk Saloon. The bar finally opened about 6:20 that evening after the health department gave us the thumbs up and allowed us to ply our trade. The Liz Barnez Band was in Old Town Square that night and we opened to a fairly brisk crowd. The beginning was marked by plenty of frantic problem solving by two bartenders turned "businessmen" and the cool, steady leadership of our inherited bar manager Kevin Levad, who is still with us and is now a part owner. Tim Wahler and Joe Sparks took the stage that night and the party ensued. The rest is...well, we'll see, it ain't over yet.
