Old Town Ice Skating Rink

Come enjoy a true Old Town experience...outdoor skating right in Old Town Square. A perfect addition to a romantic evening out on the town or a great family winter experience. Skating Rink is located on the north end of Old Town Square.
2011-12 SCHEDULE HERE - OPEN November 19-January 29th!

The rink was purchased by the Downtown Development Authority and is being operated by staff from the City of Fort Collins Parks & Recreation Department. It is a wonderful addition to our historic downtown area, so see you out skating!

Horse & Carriage Rides

njoy horse drawn carriage rides in historic Downtown Fort Collins this holiday season. A romantic ride after dinner or take visiting relatives on a memorable tour of downtown. (All rides and times on schedule are weather permitting, it could be too windy or cold...)

Santa Claus & His Workshop

(Visit Santa this holiday! He arrives Saturday, November 19, 2011 at noon in Old Town Square)

Santa's Visiting Hours:

November 19 - December 11

Wednesday- Sunday 12-6:00pm

December 13 - 23 12-6:00pm
December 24 12-5:00pm

Santa speaks English, Spanish and Sign Language.

Come see Santa early in the season to avoid waiting!

(Heaters are located on porch for anyone waiting to see Santa, stay warm!)

Please NOTE Downtown's Santa Claus is very popular and during busy days near the holiday waiting time could be up to 2 hours to see Santa and must be in line 1/2 hour prior to closing in order to get in to see Santa, Thank you.

The Downtown Business Association will be offering holiday activities for kids to do with Santa this year, including “Story Time with Santa” where Santa reads stories each Thursdays and Fridays at 11:30 a.m. at Downtown’s Clothes Pony Store (111 N. College) (No story time on Dec 24th). “Skating with Santa” will also be offered every Saturday from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Old Town Ice Skating Rink.

Each day Old Town Square will be filled with the music of Santa’s concertina and harmonica, and in the quieter moments, kids of all ages can share their secret wishes with him in his cozy holiday workshop in the Old Town Square. A professional photographer will be on hand during regular hours to capture those unforgettable moments with Santa.

Special thanks to Blue Ridge Log Furniture, City of Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Dept., Colorado Carriage & Wagon and all of downtown for helping prepare for Santa’s arrival. Santa and his holiday activities are brought to you by the Downtown Business Association.

Downtown Santas Shopping Quest

Downtown Fort Collins is putting the fun in filling out Santas list. Shoppers this season will have a the chance to join a special adventure to find out what names are on our Downtown Santas lists. The “quest” let’s people explore Downtown Fort Collins while visiting participating stores in search of Santas with a gold star. They can find the name written on each business’s Santa’s star and record this name on a “Downtown Santas Quest Card”. Participants are asked to find a minimum of ten individual names then submit their Quest Card at one of the participating businesses for a chance to win a $500 Downtown gift card. Additionally, they will have the chance to select the local charity to be on “Santa’s List” and receive a $500 donation!
